Babul Biswas received the Zakaria Memorial Medal in 2009 in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Bangladeshi Drama. National Professor Kabir Chowdhury presented this very prestigious medal to Babul Biswas. Renowned cultural personality Ramendu Majumder was present as the head of the ‘Theater’ drama group at this enjoyable event. The ‘Theater’ drama group awards medals every year for meritorious contributions in various fields of Stage Drama.
